ABOUT US
Mitch, our company director and builder, has spent the last decade and a half building his professional career as a carpenter and building and construction supervisor employed by residential and custom home builders.
During this time, Mitch witnessed countless clients feeling ‘boxed in’ with their choices in colour selections, inclusions and layouts - even while working for “custom” builders.
This left Mitch feeling that, at times, he wasn’t delivering his client’s dream home - but rather a sub-standard, watered-down version of it, complete with standard materials and finishes.
experience
Whilst working as a supervisor for other builders, Mitch found himself feeling unfulfilled by the product sold to clients, and became driven to start his own company to help clients the right way.
The arrival of his first son, Cooper, was the push that Mitch needed to take the leap and start his own business.
Mitch saw the need for a builder who had both new homes and renovations experience, and he wanted to use this experience and knowledge to truly help clients create their dream home.
how we began
MITCH LAVENDER
Mitch is our company director and builder, and oversees all business operations.
Mitch manages each build from commencement to completion, in addition to jumping on the tools himself, and will be your go-to during the pre-construction and construction phase.
Prior to founding Lucid Builders, Mitch worked as a carpenter for over five years, before being approached to become a construction supervisor by a local builder. Mitch gained close to ten years experience as a construction supervisor and project-managed over 250 new builds and renovations, with majority being high-end, architecturally designed homes.

ALLYCE SILM
Allyce is our everything-in-between lady. She manages all things business - including business development, paper work, and accounts, basically everything with the exception of swinging a hammer herself. You will likely hear from Allyce in your pre-construction and construction phase.
Allyce is a local lawyer who built her professional career around dispute matters, with a particular focus on construction-related disputes. Whilst not being a builder herself, she gained hands-on experience when renovating houses with Mitch.
Allyce is kept busy keeping Mitch in line, and likes to spend her spare time (if she gets any!) unwinding with a good book and a glass of red, attempting yoga, and spending quality time with Mitch and their son Cooper.
